About Me

I have been a Cabarrus County resident since 1974 and a local small business owner since 1982. I have 18 years experience in the solid waste industry. I have 24 years experience in the landscape industry I am a NC registered landscape and irrigation contractor and a licensed NC pesticide applicator. I am married to Shelia Lisenby of Concord have two daughters and four grandchildren. I am a constitutional conservative christian supporting first responders and small businesses. I believe that the constitution is the standard of law that we live by and grants us our rights and freedoms that govern our lives. I will work hard to protect those rights and freedoms for this county.

• Develop and manage the county budget 
• Manage the county taxes and tax rate 
• Develop policies that create the best work and living environment  
• Develop a strategic plan for existing businesses and their expansion and eliminating policies that restrict them. 
• Manage county contracts and using locally owned businesses to provide the services 
• Develop policies that properly manages economic development for residential, commercial and industrial growth without compromising the current infrastructure 
• Develop a strategic plan for our county parks, to provide a broader range of year-round activities for families and groups  
• Improving and adding veteran amenities in our parks and being more ADA and handicap compliant with better accessibility 
• Develop a more functional design for new schools and to reduce maintenance costs 
• Ensuring that the safety of our residents is a top priority and that the Sheriff, Fire and EMS would be properly trained and funded 
• Develop a comprehensive plan for water, sewer and solid waste for future growth
